RAMPARTS UPDATE

2025

Since we opened the new venue, we have been very busy.

We have continued to work with local adults with learning disabilities, providing training and social opportunities.

A new allotment group based at The Ramparts and Murton White House started, bringing a total of 19 groups every week.

In our Training Room

• Border Links groups 5 days a week

• Every Monday evening Andys Man Club uses the venue

• A Staff breadmaking course

• Meta 4 Dance worked with our members

• Meeting space for local organisations

• Christmas and Summer Fair

• Splinter Group social event

• Border Links worked with Berwick Barracks Museum Staff on their new designs.

In Our Community Room

• Local groups to showcase what they do

• For Training – First Aid, AIM, Revive R Training

• As part of the Christmas Fair

• Meetings and interviews with health professionals

• Celebration events

• Supporting other organisations eg U3A, Brainbox

• Collaboration events, working with Northumbria University, NCC and Autism Mapping group

• IMPACT Facilitator which Border Links is working with to look opportunities for younger people working in this sector.

In the Summer of 2025 we are planning to run a Showcase Event to present many local groups and organisations that can support Parents with children and young adults with Learning Disabilities. Please let us know if you would like to be included.

We will continue to work together with other local organisations to give a strong united voice to the North of the County and offer solutions to the issues raised locally.
